It's been a year! Isaac and I can hardly believe that only 365 days ago we were sharing the most special day of our lives with all of our friends and family. Unfortunately, due to our wonderfully erratic economy, we didn't spend our anniversary in Maui. Instead, we decided to spend a romantic weekend in Mendocino.
We started our day at an ungodly hour and drove up to Fort Bragg to go on the Skunk Train. (*Funny sidenote...before we got twenty minutes out of Sonoma, Isaac realized he forgot his wedding ring. Needless to say we went back to get it and still made it in time to catch our train.) The weather was overcast and bleary, but once the train started climbing and we got some coffee in our systems it was simply amazing!
I have a picture of myself when I was about 4 years old from when I went on the Skunk Train with my parents and my grandparents and I'm wearing a conductor's hat. When we got to the top of the mountain and stopped for lunch, Isaac surprised me with a new "big girl" conductor's hat. I wore it the rest of the trip back and we made sure to take LOTS of pictures.
